Housing Minister Peter Tinley has announced the development partner for the highly anticipated Hainsworth project in Girrawheen.
The Department of Communities, through the Housing Authority, will partner with Yolk Property Group Pty Ltd and Ventura Home Group Pty Ltd to transform the former Hainsworth Primary School site into a thriving residential estate.
Mr Tinley has also unveiled the estate’s new name – “The Amble Estate” – which captures the leisurely lifestyle awaiting future residents in a walkable community with natural surrounds.
Upon completion, The Amble Estate will comprise a minimum of 129 dwellings, with a mix of small lot house and land packages, apartments and townhouses.
Mr Tinley said all land and dwellings for sale in The Amble Estate would be priced below Perth median prices.
“A number of dwellings will also be made available under the State Government's shared equity initiative, making the purchase of a new home even more affordable for low to middle income earners,” he said.
The Amble Estate will deliver affordable, diverse and environmentally sustainable land and housing options for first homebuyers, families and downsizers.
The total project value is estimated at $21.8 million, with site works to commence in October 2017.
