Department co-sponsors the National Housing Conference 2013
The Department of Housing WA is pleased to be a co-sponsor of the National Housing Conference 2013 – a new way home, to be held in Adelaide in October.
The biennial National Housing Conferences are the single largest events for the affordable housing sector in the Australasian region. If you are a provider, builder, designer, researcher, policy-maker, supplier or financier working in this sector then you need to be at this conference!
A range of experts in areas of policy, practice and research will participate through a variety of session types—ranging from plenary and large concurrent sessions, to smaller workshops and the brand new Think Tank.
The program focusses on a number of key themes that are front and centre in the national conversation this year. These include contemporary thinking in social good financing, market-design, client-centred service delivery, DisabilityCare and the demand for housing, urban place-making, economic development and Indigenous housing.
Optional site tours prior to the conference will allow delegates to see first-hand some innovative housing models and urban renewal developments, with workshop sessions later in the conference program having been directly linked allowing further debate and analysis of these successful local projects.
Dates: 30 October to 1 November 2013
Location: Adelaide Convention Centre
Format: A range of plenary, large and small concurrent sessions, workshops, the Think Tank, as well as site tours and a range of social events.
The next National Housing Conference will be held in Perth in 2015.
