A panel beating firm has become the first small business in South Hedland to be allocated a Department of Housing property for one of its employees.
The first five of 80 new dwellings arrived in South Hedland in early August as part of the State Government’s Royalties for Regions-supported housing package to provide affordable housing solutions for service workers in the town.
Housing availability in Hedland is set for a major boost with the construction of the 293-unit Osprey Service Workers’ Village set to start in South Hedland in September.
